Tanzanian Vice President Visits Marya Pharmaceutical Cleanroom Project

On October 26, 2023, Vice President Philip Mpango made a special trip to inspect the MSD pharmaceutical Cleanroom project undertaken by Marya to further improve Tanzania's health public utilities, strengthen the national self-sufficiency of medical products, and alleviate the shortage of public health resources in Tanzania as soon as possible. The entourage includes more than 100 people including the Tanzanian Minister of Health, the Military Commander, the Mayor Makanbako, the project head of MSD Headquarters Mr. Mavere and representatives of local government.
This inspection mainly aims at the construction, the future planning and development, the introduction of production equipment and professional technology, the project progress and production management, etc. in the project park.
The Vice President Philip Mpango and relevant leaders particularly recognized Marya’s achievements and efforts in the cleanroom project, accompanied and explained by Marya’s project manager Mike and engineer Marvin, understood in detail the problems and difficulties in the process of promoting the whole park project, and put forward relevant opinions and suggestions to better promote the development of the whole project.
At the subsequent meeting, Mr. Mavere, the project head of MSD Headquarters, reported the overall progress of the project, and the Mayor Makanbako highly praised the achievements made in the preliminary work of the project and summarized the difficulties.
After the report, the Vice President Philip Mpango highly affirmed Marya's achievements in the MSD cleanroom project and placed great expectations on the development of Tanzania's public health services. Moreover, he hoped that the MSD and Marya would continue to make efforts together and persist in contributing to the development of Tanzania's public health.
